Free Cookies in Employment Law

On Monday, Professor Seiner announced that his wife had made Halloween cookies!  This was a lifesaver, as that class meets during lunchtime (12:40-1:40).  Thanks to Megan Seiner who saved many a growling stomach, but especially mine!

Halloween Cookies

All that remain after a hungry class

I am finding out the difficulties behind eating conveniently and healthy.  In order to avoid unnecessary expenses, it becomes imperative that I prepare my meals in advance.  No more impromptu Wendy’s trips for lunch.  Breakfast has consistently been 2 Pop-tarts (strawberry, if it matters) that ring in at $0.18/apiece, thanks to a handy sale at Food Lion.

That brings me to my next point- fresh fruit and veggies are expensive!  I tried to buy some apples, oranges, and bananas- not cheap.  Unfortunately, this continues a vicious cycle: those on SNAP benefits are unable to eat healthy without further expenditures.  Rice and potatoes can be bought all day long, but when it comes time to satisfying the food pyramid (does that still exist?), you have to shell out a little more dough.  I hear Aldi’s has good fruit and veggies for affordable prices.  May be worth checking out.

About taylor

The best way to understand me would be to look at my Pandora stations- The Phantom of the Opera, O.A.R, The Eagles, Johnny Cash, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Walt Disney, Frank Sinatra, James Taylor, Blues Traveler, and Charles Trenet all occupy separate stations. But they don't "occupy" in the modern-day sense of the word; they peacefully rest in my computer without any care as to what big businesses and politicians do. I'm not your ordinary left-handed, right-branied, 22-year old law student. I graduated from The Citadel in May of 2011, and I'm now learning the intricacies of living on my own. For example- turns out you can cook Ramen noodles in a pot, rather than a coffee-maker. Not wearing a uniform every day, originally thought to be a blessing, presents a daily challenge regarding clothing choices. The easiest transition has entailed my new-found free time. Although I no longer march in parades or dust my room for Saturday Morning Inspections, I am just as busy with law school.
